    I need help

I had the wonderful idea to make my dungeon non accesable at the begining of the game, i had the idea that i could put a stone pillar in the way of the entrance and if you have a specific item, it will warp you into the dungeon. it works in a way, but the problem is, you can walk up to the dungeon and enter it without the item as well...

my only solution was to put the dungeon in the middle of water, but i would have to do that for every dungeon, and i dont have the space...

also i have a question... is it possible to go to a place that isn't on the map?(by warping to it if it isnt placed) i just wondered...

Yes, you can set a key to unlock the dungeon. It is I think on the second page of the dungeon main screen.

Vonwert, I don't think you can set a key to a dungeon... I was looking all around in the Dungeon editor and I don't see that option. Am I missing something here?

You can have treasure items open locked doors to houses. You can also allow or not allow entrance to a town. But a dungeon?

Unless you are using a building/rainbow graphic as an event that warps you to a dungeon.

In answer to your second question timefaerie, yes, you can warp to a town or dungeon that hasn't been placed on a field.

The easiest way I find to lock a dungeon temporarily comes from a very simple answer. You can warp to a dungeon that has not been placed on a map. Be careful though, as you'll need 2 warps: one for the player to enter and one to exit.

I use this trick to make floating cities. If you make a Castle-type city, and then warp to it without placing it on a map, and set the city to never allow access, the front doors will be closed. It looks like it's floating.

Yeah, Pitch, that idea of making a city not on a map is frankly quite cool sounding. Perhaps a game where you never leave the starting city, except by warp?

make a door inside the dungeon that nees a key. like 2" from the main door.
