Somehow this doesn't surprise me. The game Soul Reaver was rated Teen, but it was very violent. Now you can find copies of it with the Mature rating.
I had to change accounts. I'm here now - http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/member.php?u=1475

Banning breasts? I swear, this is all just another part of the Gay Agenda.

they changed the rating due to mods that other people made. if this becomes a trend, every sims game will soon be rated AO.

        how retarded.

isn't that the same as censoring the people who make the mods?

Didn't the ESRB hold off giving GTA 3.3 an AO rating because the "Coffee" deal might have simply been a mod? So why are they giving this game a higher rating even though it is a mod?

If anything, they should keep the game at a Teen rating and rate each individual mod.

I know, this is very stupid.

I say we make a mod that makes Mario and Princess Peach nude, and change a Mario game to M or A

I'm sorry, but weren't the mods just unlocking what was already there? Why put in breasts?

Im pretty sure Oblivion has the 'barbie' skins as a base (like Sims 1 and 2) and the nipples are added as part of the mod-skin.

This is rather ridiculous. Not just because of this needless rating change, but the modded breasts dont even look like real breasts...

almost every game on the market that has multiple clothing options has nude skins, even FFX-2 has them (although that game uses them for "transformation" scenes). Without them, the developers would have to create an entire character model for every clothing option, including mixing and matching pants/shirts. with the nude base model, they just have to design the clothes/equipment and map them onto the existing model.

Re-rating games is not a bad thing. They just got free publicty and probably moved quite a few units because of it, just like GTA. It's a win-win siuation, and not that big of a deal.

Agreed. We're pretty much going to have to live with this kind of stuff unless the country is invaded, occupied and the laws changed.
