Today I learned that Google released Google SketchUp, a unique, free 3D modeling program.
I've been perusing it for the past twenty minutes. It's nowhere near as advanced as the open source 3D modeling and animation program Blender.
However, unlike Blender, it's ridiculously simple to learn and should therefore appeal to a more casual audience. And the Google Earth interconnectivity is pretty inventive.
If your graphics card is decent, give it a go!
