    Execution of a PS2

My PS2 died again. this time the laser isnt working at all. I can turn it on, stare right at the laser lens(with the cover off) and NOTHING.

I've lost count of how many PS2s I've gone through, that have just up and died like this.

I have a replacement slimline on the way, but this traitorous piece of hardware NEEDS to be punished.

How do you want me to kill it?

I'm taking suggestions from here, and 2 other forums I go to, and some real life friends. I promise to take pictures/video if possible of the execution. So far, the leading suggestion is to throw it through a McDonalds Drive-thru window, rather than giving them money.

Take it to some old people and tell them it's the Internet. Then try to get them to buy it.

That would never work... there aren't any more old people.

When it comes to destroying stuff, I say go with the classics. I for one enjoy using a sledgehammer.

I'd prefer to see it smashed.

Take a dump on it and mail it back to Sony for repairs.

I thought of another one. Strap fireworks onto the PS2, that should light things up.

You'd probably want to take it apart and put the fireworks on the inside.

put dog poo inside it, light it on fire, then leave it on someones doorstep.

                      Re: Execution of a PS2

I was just informed that gamestop only tests to see if the PS2 turns on before they'll buy it from you, or take it in a trade, that they dont even try to get a game working on it.

So I may just try to sell it.

Tell them it's the best Internet you ever had after the sale.

                          Re: Execution of a PS2

EB and GameStop will give you some in-store credit for it even it doesn't work. You could probably get enough for a DS game or something. Mario comes out on the 15th.

But if you really feel like smashing it to bits, I suggest tying it to a rope, lighting it on fire, and then have someone spin around in circles with it while you try to hit it with a bat.
