so i have recently started playing again. this time i might just let it carry me until PSU. right now ive started a new character, but if anyone is interested in starting up again, playonline can retrieve characters that were deleted over a year ago. http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/polnews/news1411.shtml
ive called to see if i can get mavin back, but it could take 1-2 weeks for that to happen, so in the mean time i am leveling a new whm named mavie on midgardsormr.
for my WoW peeps who check this out: the reason i left wow is because with my schedule at work i rarely got nights off, and when the only thing left to do endgame is raid instances, and they only get together at night when i work, well that made logging into that game tedious cause all there was to do was farm and wait for the expansion.
I really really enjoyed it all the way to 60, but when the content becomes trivial and doing the same instance a million times looking for that one piece of loot that drops .01% of the time was killing me. plus it was getting to the point where my class was so overnerfed that it was taking hours to get groups going and unless i started em i was getting booted for rangers/druids.
and the PvP aspect got ruined for me as well. i never had the time to sit and wait to join BGs. sure there was the ocassional fun skirmish outside gadget but other than that meh. BGs ruined pvp imo.
anyways with FFXI it seems that S-E might have gotten their brains together and started addressing issues with the game. and with 2 expansions having come out since i quite and the slew of X360 players around now it might not be so bad to jump in and check it out again.
