Downloading AIM...I think?

    Downloading AIM...I think?

    How long should it take to download the newest version of AIM? It's been a few minutes, and I'm at 75%. What did they add that would take so long? (Or am I downloading the wrong thing?)

    EDIT: Okay...well, apparently by downloading "AIM Triton", it included AOL Explorer along with it. Yeah, I'm thinking that's going in the trash.

    Well for me Anything AOL no. But trillian does have AIM included on it. So IMO Trillian is a better deal especially the free version.

    But for pro you have to pay for it. to get the better features.

    One downside to trillian is that it crashes not very often.
    There is one thing that pretty much disturbes me in an SRPG....

      I still use Aim 5.5, best version in my opinion.

        I've used Trillian and GAIM as well as AIM but the few people I ever chatted with on AIM always just stopped talking to me pretty quickly so I just stopped bothering and just you Yahoo Messenger now.

            Doing a search in my hard drive shows that there is now a whole bunch of AOL-related junk. I'd like to purge my computer of all of it, but I'd have no idea which of them are important and which aren't.

              Yep, I downloaded that same crap and suddenly every time I logged on, I had to wait 5 minutes or more to freakin' do anything. Go Trillian, 'cause it works pretty well, other than the fact that I can't freakin' file transfer 'cause it won't let me. Can't even send a damn picture.
