    Looking for a job

My first job. My own money. Yeah.

I was wondering if you guys could point me out to places that you think might employ me. I am going to try and avoid fast food and any other food at that.

Might I suggest an intriguing career as a sandwich artist at Subway?

My brother got hired and fired there a billion times. Besides there comercials are not matched to that of quiznoes, which my other brother worked at and didn't leave on my good side. But then he went and got a cool programming job.

You may have no choice, but to go with fast food. I've been looking for a job too and I had the same out look in the beginning. Now I'm just willing to get any job I can.

I never had to work in fast food.

I worked at a conference setting up the food for conferences. I also worked in a bakery (It was on a farm. They hire a lot of people seasonally if you have a farm near you.)

Then I worked in a warehouse moving rental equipment for parties. VERY big tables. It's alllll in the hips. You'd think moving 10 foot long tables would be hard for one man, but trust me, I'm a lazy five foot four male, and it's not hard at all. Maybe there is a Party Center type place or Equipment rental near you.

I am not afraid of big heavy things. They call me to lift them. As a challenge I would do that for fun. But I like trying to lift heavy things. I will probably have a bad back when I grow up.

Lowes online said they are sorry but they can not hire me at this time. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Neither would hire me and I had a two-year degree and I was well over eighteen.

not unless you're mentally retarded and have little to no clue about what whatever section of the store you work in is selling!

                        Re: Looking for a job

I'd suggest learning to type (if you don't know already). Then go apply to a temp service. I've noticed being large and male is the surest way to get stuck at heavy labor. Just like being small and female is a good way to get chained to a cash register. Maybe you're into that sort of thing, but it pays like crap and it's hard to break out of that labor cycle once you're in it.

From my experience, temp. agencies pay better than labor jobs as well. Many businesses use temp. agencies to get a line on good potential employees and let them weed out the bad candidates. If you don't have any technical proficiencies, (and I'm assuming you don't considering you're just trying to avoid fast food) then this might be a good place to start.
So you're a fish out of water...
                        Keep swimming.
                        What else can you do?

Before answering this question, you need to answer the following questions:

                          1) What is your age
                          2) What are your previous job experiences
                          3) What are your skills
                          4) What are your interests

                          Playstation Network: Alzar2k
