Anyone know if there is a program out there that will take the componants of a folder and burn them onto a CD in a way so that the largest number of files will fit, given the space alotted? That is, if I have 100 files, some large and some small, I need a program that will organize them and burn them onto a disk taking advantage of as much space as it can, before moving on to the second disk.

Is there such a thing?

I think Nero might be able to do that.

I know that the version that came with me DVD drive (I think it's ver. 6?) has Overburn, which will burn more than the alotted disc size.

Wouldn't the most files just be like...

Sort by size, keep adding the smallest file until disk full, repeat?

The thing is, I have hundreds of source footage for all of the little machinima movies I have made that is taking up WAY too much space on my harddrive. It would take me far too long to sit down and organize them into CD "packages" so that I fit them all onto CD's. I just cant think of another alternative, because I need them off my computer, but I dont want to lose them either. ARG.

right-click, sort by size, stick 10 in a new folder, right-click on folder, properties, if size is less than 650 mb (or however large) then add 1-2 more and repeat. then just burn the folder.

BAM no special program required.
