Yeah, I'm a Genetics freak.
Thinking of trying some sort of Genetic simulation thing...y'know, choose the traits, see what you get. It would work well in a game, I think (imagine a beast raising game where the offspring was a combination of the parents, and probably more powerful, as I would make recessive traits stronger.)
I dunno, am I the only one who likes this idea?

Offhand, the idea reminds me of Cubivore.

Yeah, except with text, not having to make the graphics representing the change means I can have a lot of traits.

Just text, huh? Kinda would make it a bit hard to see just what your creation looks like.

Yeah, I know. Text has many disadvantages, so I tend to exploit the advantages as much as possible.
Yes, you cannot see your creation, and I suppose that wouldn't really work. That would be one of the main draws.
Hmm...what would this be good for?

I think this is a pretty nice idea. Kind of reminds me of one of the things I was working on in Nomed Legna II. I had it so you could raise monsters and once they reach their peak you eat them.:lick You gain their abilities afterwards... though I was never able to perfect it. Anyway, this idea of yours could work on RPGM2. You could make quite an awesome game like that.

Oh, I got it! If I use humans, the different eye/hair colors will be easy enough to imagine.
I don't want you breeding with your enemys, so Jamos, can I use you eating idea? With Qbasic, I think I can do this fairly well.

Go ahead, Hito. You have my blessing.

Well, I'm in genetics right know, and we did a lab invloving gametes. So, I might just code that, then swtich the traits, and I'll have my engine for creation. I may just take Lancer EXs engine for the battles.
Really, a lot of it hinges on whether I can get my compiler working again.

Well, compilers up, so, you may see my Biology lab in EXE form.
