i was gonna say, the only thing you need now is a television capable of displaying your games with more clarity. or s-video is a decent connection if you have that on your t.v.
You'll at least want S-Video, if you don't already. It's a noticeable improvement, IMO. Everything else beyond that isn't that much better, save for HD, but that you'll only notice on plasma screens or big-screen TVs. S-Video TVs don't cost too much, either.

If I remember right, the NES didnt come with RCA jacks. I don't really get whats so great about HD anyways, it just makes anything in 480 resolution look like crap, when it looks just fine on a standard definition television.
I just bought Oblivion for the XBOX 360 before I even have the system. I decided that there are going to be games I want for the XBox 360 that wouldn't make a new video card for my PC worth it. Plus my cpu processor speed wasn't up to snuff.
I am getting my 360 this weekend. I can't wait! I just hope I can find the premium package.

Agreed. Though, I love having great sound. My family just got a new 5.1 surround sound system.
The original NES had video and monoaul audio jacks. The new one was just RF.
Personally, the idea of having true surround sound sounds appealing. However, a lot of the games I own that support surround sound do a VERY good imitation of noises behind you even if the speakers are by the TV. But perhaps my ears are just easily fooled. As long as the speakers I'm using can produce clear and loud sound (I turn things up a bit for stuff like boss battles, as well as movies), then I'm fine.
