Haha, I colored my wooden posing model.

I got bored, so I whipped out mah sharpies and gave him a shiny new paint job. Classic baddass red and black. Is this what you humans call.......art?

Having one of these guys around helps so much when your trying to draw something but cant quite get the right picture of the pose in your mind.

They are also great skeletons for building other kinds of custom models around if your into that. Yeah, talk about tools that help you draw junk. Pencils, pens, rulers, paper, etc.

    GO!

And YES, that container in the bottom right is filled with moldy spaghetti.

It's much more useful as a piece of art! I like what you did with it.

As reference, I feel those types of figure models are sub-par.

I use a Microman figure as a posing model. those things are insanely articulated.

Argh, how much do those cost? I'm betting that the posable spider-man option is still cheaper (approx $5.00 for a figure with 32 points of articulation, looks like it has the same flexibility as that model). Since they've re-used the mold, you can find it in several different series. Most of the new figure models I've seen are obviously based off of that figure.

Microman figures range from 6 dollars all the way to 20. They're the size of GI Joes.
The one I use as a drawing model is this one:

that comes with a godzilla costume.

The Spider-man figures are about 6 inches tall. They look like this!

yup, those look just as posable as microman figures.

but they cant wear godzilla costumes.

I think they could, but it would look weird.

I have these DoA dolls of Ayame and the newer young girl (I forgot her name) and they have almost 20 points of articulation and exchangable heads/hands/bases. They actually are kinda cool to use for referance. I'll try and get pictures when the digital camera returns from NE.

In other news. I like the recolor of your posing model. I'm too chicken to do that with my own.

My Dragon Quest VIII Hero figure has 20 points of articulation, but they don't seem to be in the right places.

And I like it, Crunkosity. Though I would go with blue and black personally, red goes just as well.
