This might be appropriate for the playground, but I want an honest discussion here. Is this a tradition that isn't necessary? As far as I understand it, most American hospitals do this through tradition of the hospital. It's pretty much a Christian or Jewish thing...and the thing about being healthier is pretty much BS. All it really does is desenitize the effected area so whatever "evil deeds" you do with it doesn't feel as good. I myself am circumsized, and when I found out that those who aren't are a lot more sensitive down there, I was kinda pissed.
So, what do you think? Is it necessary, or a good thing? Is it an American tradition kind of the fault of religion? Discuss.
