well, still busy putting the games up, but yeah, you need RPG Maker 2 to play the RPG Maker 2 games, and RPG Maker 1 to play the RPG Maker 1 games.

you will need a file transfer device such as the X port, shark port, or max drive to transfer the saves to your memory card for RPG Maker 2, and the dex drive for RPG Maker 1.

I have a question too...what do I do if my computer doesn't support file zipping?

          You probably just need WinZip.

Just download the evaluation. Unless they changed it, you'll still be able to use it after the evaluation is over.

Well here's a question where can you find the Dex Drive, X-port, Sharkport, and Maxdrive at?

dex drives have been discontinued since early 2000. only place to find them now are places like Ebay, where they normally retail for around 8-10 dollars.

X ports and Shark Ports are discontinued.

Max Drives are readily available at almost any store that sells games. gamestop, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Circuit City, and they retail for around 30. you can also get a special package that also includes an action replay for 30-40 dollars.

Max drives are my last resort then. so can this also work for RPG1 games as well.

Shark Port, X Port, and Max Drive only work for PS2 games, Dex Drive only for PS1 games.
