Re: So here it is...the Revolution controller
That would happen to be the video they showed off back in September.
Nintendo's always been at the forefront of game control setups, so I look forward to what they'll be showing off at E3.
Hey, if all else fails, there's still the classic-style controler attachment, likely to be packed in.
You'd be surprised, but the near-final unit is a lot smaller than it looks. It's height is about equal to the width of a DS.Last edited by RPGD; 03-27-2006, 10:00 PM.

Re: So here it is...the Revolution controller
This is Nintendo. I imagine that they know a thing or two about child-proofing.

Seriously, though, the teaser movie exaggerates the way it works significantly. According to the hands-on demos, you could easily control it by light wrist movements, even whilst lying down. Like a mouse, but three-dimensional.
A guy recently made a working mock-up using some odds and ends and played an FPS with it. He didn't move his arms any more than one would with a normal controler. Remind me to show you the video.
Still, I wanna see how it actually does work, rather than hearing a bunch of journalist reports.Last edited by RPGD; 03-28-2006, 01:15 AM.

Do I have to remind you of the reading errors and stuff like that.Originally posted by GluémeI still have a SNES and a top-loading NES.. I own all the games I really liked.
No I'm not talking about Sony products.
Anyhow I dont see why people on the pav dont like Nintendo Products. The only reason I can think of is because the own a PS2 and wont try anything new. Or they think it doesn't have any games because of all the under appreciated games.Last edited by Red Dragon; 03-27-2006, 11:16 PM.

Re: So here it is...the Revolution controller
What about those that you don't know you'd like? A lot of those older games you can't find anymore, at least not in good condition. Plus there's supposed to be a monthly deal, where you can download any number of games for a flat rate instead of paying for one each. If it's a game you don't like, quickly move on to the next.Originally posted by GluémeI still have a SNES and a top-loading NES.. I own all the games I really liked.

Re: So here it is...the Revolution controller
That video made me almost physically ill. If that's how the games are going to be controlled(though I have my doubts about that, since, what would you do with all the buttons?), then no way.
Give a regular controller, not a damn remote, with an analog attachment. Gah.

More like "buy most of the company's shares".... some of us (RPGDesigner) would take a tactical nuclear warhead to the face for them.

I'm really starting to think that it'd control more like the working mock-up made by that guy.
That's it, I'm looking for that video.Last edited by RPGD; 03-27-2006, 11:55 PM.

Re: So here it is...the Revolution controller
Think of the 3D movement as a glorified analog stick, with the buttons to perform other functions. Super Mario 64 wasn't played completely with the analog stick."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change.
