At work, some bitchy woman came in, and I was really busy at the time. Plus I was in a bad mood because all the customers there are ****in' idiots. So, I was all running around, and I asked this woman if she needed anything, but I was too busy to really know what she was saying. I turned back around to finish my work, and she said "**** it, let's just go" and started to mumble profanities directed at me, and left. I was like, well, fine, and yelled out the door after her, "HAVE A NICE ****IN' DAY!" Apparently she heard me and came back in, and threatened to tell my manager about me. Whatever, I thought, this job blows anyway. And then she tried to slam the front door, but it's one of those doors with the hydraulic things that make it so you can't slam them, so she looked like an idiot.
The lady reported me, and the powers that be decreed that I suck, and therefore should be fired.
A ****** graveyard shift at a ****** convenience store, in this town that's full of idiots. I'm not gonna miss it. I had too many bad nights there anyway. I need something that's away from the public.
That sucks that the customer can spout out profanities and get you fired for returning with ONE f-word. But graveyard shift at a convenience store isn't worth enduring. You're lucky to have been fired.
I don't understand people. I would never treat someone trying to do their job the way that I get treated by some of my customers. my job would be great if I could treat the customers like the idiots they are. Clerks was dead-****ing on.
it's hard sometimes.
example:
I had five lines on hold one night (for some reason I was the only CSR) and I was trying to get through them. a man walks in to place an order and I ask if he would mind waiting so I could take care of a few of the lines on hold. he says to me, "oh, well I apologize for being here." I just kind of stare at him, lost. "what?" I reply. he glares at me and informs me that that's basically what I'm saying, and I explain to him that it's only fair that I help the customers who have been waiting longer than he has first.
"yeah, well **** you, too." then he tells me he's never going to come to our store ever again. I kind of got pissed and said "we're Pizza Hut. do you think you even matter?" he stormed out cursing and I turned and saw the shift manager standing in the doorway seperating the kitchen/dispatch area from the front desk. he looked kind of surprised and said "wow. as cool as that was, please don't make it a habit."
it's sad that we live in a world where, no matter what, the customer is always right. that's really, really messed up.
Did you tell him the customers on hold were more right?
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
I don't really understand what you're asking, but I did inform him that we were quite busy and there were other customers on hold before he came in to the store.
I mean your boss. He said that the customers were always right. Did you tell him the customers on the phone were more right than the guy who walked off?
