Screening of FF7: Advent Children in California

Got this in an e-mail newsletter thing from Square Enix:

Square Enix and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment celebrate the launch of FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN with a one-night only special screening at the Cinerama Dome at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood!

We are excited to announce a special screening of FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN at the ArcLight Cinemas (www.arclightcinemas.com) at 6360 W. The screening is open to the public, so don't miss this one and only chance to see the long-awaited film in high definition on the big screen weeks ahead of the April 25th launch of the DVD and UMD video.

The screening will take place at the Cinerama Dome, the signature marquee on Sunset Boulevard which seats over 800 people and has been host to four decades of premieres and blockbusters. Guaranteed admission to the screening will be handed out at noon in front of the Dome while supplies last. This screening is complementary and tickets will not be for sale at the event. Only one guaranteed admission will be provided to each person at noon while supplies last. Any kind of recording device is strictly prohibited.

I would probably go to see it, but I live nowhere near California.
I like the movie, I just wished they worked on the plot a bit more. Luckily the action scenes are pretty cool.

I'm honored, to finally be a master at something! Okay, they could have worked on the plot, PERIOD. It was sad that the plot was paper thin and almost non-existent.

I agree, while Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo were all pretty cool, I would like to know how the hell they... you know.... began. They just kind of show up.

The same way Sephiroth managed to do everything in Disc 1 of FF7 yet still remain encased in crystal in the Northern Crater.

              Seriously.

he was in crystal the whole first disc? I thought that he got that way when he got to the Northern Crater. like waiting for Cloud or something.

                        Nope. If you remember,

                        FF7 SPOILERS OMG

when Cloud remembers everything(accurately), he throws Sephiroth into the Lifestream in the Nibelheim Mako Reactor. Apparently Sephiroth floats around in the Lifestream until the spirit energy surrounding him crystallizes into materia, and he ends up in the Crater.

That would be the masses. Square is capable of creating some good stuff, but as long as the masses buy the game... they will make more of the same. Square is pretty much all eye candy with little substance because of this. If you think about it, nearly every game after FFVI is the same game. That is why I prefer the underdogs in the business. Some of the best games are nearly unknown. This doesn't make much sense, but not everyone can afford to advertise like Square can.
