Alright, I've decided to delay my dream project(a game I've been dreaming of making for fifteen Years!)
I'm taking Rodak's advice and am working on another idea to hone my Rpgm2 skills.
Ok, I've had RM2 for a little over a week and I am finally making good progress( The Prima guide really helped). Now, even though I know I should, I can't bring myself to make anything with the dbs. I want to do a side view battle system a la 16-bit final fantasy's. There was a guide that seemed to start explaining this process but it is incomplete. Any help will be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to give me a link to a faq or something.
If i use this type of battle system, will I still be able to use the enemy models? if not, I would settle just for the ability to see my party in the dbs, as I want to use the enemy models for my current project.
Also, I want to scrap the whole look talk menu, in favor of a more traditional one button operation, like hit x to talk to a npc or hit x to search a barrel also. This is important. I want the status screen to still be accesible though.
