RPG Maker 2 Soundtrack Files! - .wma Format

There was a request over at the mag for soundtrack files for RPGM2.

    I never thought anyone cared.

It's .wma format... Sorry Mac fans, that's all I can make. Maybe someone here can make 'em into something MAC compatible!

The captureator thing I have can make .wma files, so here they are (Can't post 'em there and not here!):

    Here is the first batch:

    Explore music

    http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3...K39YACKJ2OEQP2

    Town Music
    http://s65.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3...R2ZG7D82X7WGCB

    Castle Music
    http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1...20ZXM7NRGZBVIV

    More next time...

I went with 3 and a half minutes per track.

    Perhaps a mistake.

    The files is hugenessing!

148 MB only lost 1 MB in Compression!!

I used the Windows Media Encoder to encode it "For "Download" and it dropped to 57 MB.

That's all I gots time for today.

I realized I never played with the fade music controls and could not hear it while it was capturing (double pass encoding for maximum whateverness) so I did not notice the sudden cut offs... Sorry.

The next batch will fade slowly over a few seconds between tracks instead of just stopping like that!

Anyway; if you can download it, Enjoy!

Valkysas, feel free to host these here permanently if you like!

As always, if the temp links expire, and you want them renewed, post here!

I'm pressed for time and gotta run.

    Peace.

If I get time, I can re-encode in .mp3 format.

If anyone wants me to, just post here asking me.

I'm sure the MAC users would be grateful if you did that!

Are mp3 files smaller than these?

      Anyway...

      And here are some more!

I think I can clean those files up a bit to get rid of the fuzzyness.

        Nice work, Jimminy.

Re: RPG Maker 2 Soundtrack Files! - .wma Format

I think The Mag (rpgmmag.com) has RPGM1 soundtrack files.

                Check there.

If not, I may be able to do them next weekend. I have RPGM1, but only just got it and never used it, so I am unsure how to set up a script that would do this automatically (as I did for these files!).

I'm gonna try to finish these up this morning before work!

                Peace.

Actually Rodak if you send me the script you used in a max file, or just post it I think I could copy one script, I could try recording them on my sound card, since I have a fairly good one and can do almost any format with it including MP3 (I'll mess around with the bitrate a bit). I know I was able to get some of the songs off of Burnout3 with it to listen to them without having the game on, and they sound perfect. This might remove the clarity problems RPGDesigner brought up, and it's usually better to start with a good original than try to clean it up, I know it is with video anyway.

Good work though, it will be nice to sample these files without having to wait for the RPGM2 disc to spin up to them.

The file is in my Videogamedrome game, but I can get it to you.

I just kept "Commenting" (greying out) the bits I was not using in each capture.

I'll dig out the max drive and get it to you soon!

                    Meanwhile...

RPGM1 music would be fairly easy to obtain, I assure you. Granted, there isn't a command to fade-out music, but when you change the volume level, it takes a moment to pan to the new level. String it together with volume level at 8, then 6, then 4, then 2, then off, and it'll sound like it's fading out. You'll have to string multiple Wait commands together after starting the song, though, as a single Wait command in RPGM1 only goes up to 25.5 seconds.

                          I have .mp3 files of every track in RPGM1, 2, and 3.

But I dont have a clue as to where they are.

Well, I planned a file of music pitch and tempo variaitons next, followed by one of people's custom music from their games... So at least they won't be duplicates!

                            Peace.
