    Invincible Orcs

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this...
I used RPG Maker 3's example orcs and a few example weapons wielded by characters that stuck pretty close to the stats of the example characters. The characters and orcs were all set at level 1, and then I had them battle it out. The orcs were essentially invincible, taking 0-2 damage, even from a warrior's critical hits.
So I guess I'm wondering if the makers of RPG Maker 3 consider orcs to be very powerfully defensive creatures, or if this is just a fluke? Any thoughts?

Raise your characters levels some more. You'll see.

I usually put almost everything at 1 and just crank up their level to an approprate amount. if somone fought one of my orcs they would do around 200 dmg per hit.

I think they ment a level 1 orc to equal a level 3-5 player, so that they didnt have to raise levels as often.

The sample data can get a little odd about the balance. Just level the characters up one level. Either that or give them weapons with power starting at about 100. It should give your PC's enough power to do a pretty good amount of damage.

I think the only creatures created to be used against 1st level characters are goblins. At least its a good choice if you want a D&D adventure feel...

I use ants and bees as the first enemies my (level 1) characters fight right after leaving the first town. However, goblins are the main enemy in the first dungeon.
