For some reason on this computer I can never read any articles on 1Up.com. I can see the front page but if I click on anything I get a message pop up saying IE couldn't read the page and needs to abort. This computer has Win 2000
but I've never had trouble with the other comp I have with Win98 on it. So what's most likely the problem? Is there some plugin or codec or something I'm missing? I have a java vm and both flash player and shockwave.

Re: Can't read 1up.
It's probably the fact that it's about the worst designed webpage this side of ESPN.com. Every time I go to it all the stupid flash stuff just grinds my system to the ground. I mean do they seriously need all those stupid flash windows? I'd much rather have a nice simple clean design that is fast loading.

Re: Can't read 1up.
I've tried the page too. Once I got past the main ad splash page, the first page loaded up fine, but anything after that was too slow for me to wait on.
I use to have the same problem with MSN Hotmail inbox showing up on my computer. Normally it was some odd issue with the DSL Router, and all I had to do was reset my DSL box and it would work. I dunno if it is the same problem with you, but it might help if you have DSL.

Re: Can't read 1up.
I don't browse the place, so I can't say it's a real problem for me, but sometimes if I even follow a link from here, the page won't load. Usually it'll take a single refresh for it to load properly. Maybe it's more of a problem if you view more than one page."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
