--------------------- Current Reviewing Status----------------
Recently, I've been inspired to start writing some independent reviews for the games here at the pavilion. So here goes;
*Post in this thread if you would like me to review your game, or if you would like to suggest someone else’s game that you feel is worth playing.
*I am willing to review games for RPGM 1, 2, or 3.
*I am currently taking requests for complete games only - Please no demos.
*Keep in mind that I am not a part of the pavilion staff, But I will try to be very thorough, fair, and honest. I will try to give positive feedback as well as constructive criticism.
*I will review games in order of requests posted here, and if I reach the end I will arbitrarily choose games off of the site. Please only 1 game per creator at a time. If someone wants me to review multiple games, I’ll complete all first requests, then go to second requests etc.
*I am shooting for about 1 review per week, but if someone has a particularly long game, that will surely slow me down.
----------------------------------------
*Each game will be scored in the following categories:
Storyline/Character development -20 points
Everything that involves story, plot, characters and dialogue.
Battle System including classes, monsters, skills, items etc. -15 points
Anything revolving around battles also including strategy, battle lengths, bosses, stats balancing etc.
Geographical layout- World, Towns, Dungeons and Puzzles -10 points
Includes aesthetic value as well as practicality and functionality.
Visual Presentation and use of Visual FX -10 points
Includes custom visual FX, and general use of preset visuals.
Overall Originality, and Creativity -10 points
Anything original or less commonly used gets reflected here
Use of Music and Sounds -10 points
Including any customization of sound beyond preset data and general placement of music.
Overall Functionality, and Playtesting -15 points
Includes Spelling/Grammar, Bugs, balancing, and technical presentation.
Overall Fun Value -10 points
A more emotional score, but defiantly reflects the fun-to-boredom ratio of the game.
All this totaling 100 possible points...
*Also, I will provide trivial info such as total play time, overall difficulty, #of times my party was wiped out, etc.
