    Composing

I have been thinking about it lately. How do you get into composing music or writing scores for games or even movies? Just wondering if anyone has an input or information on this subject...any links to websites would be welcome.

Whenever you get a new idea, however small in size or importance, or however absurd/stupid it seems, don't ever forget it. For most people this would entail immediately writing it down and keeping a notebook at all times for that occassion.

That is pretty much the best thing.

If you felt like it, you could go and try to find some software that makes scores to your specifications. I use Power Tab Editor to create guitar and bass scores. That's the best advice I can give you. I wish you luck.

FL Studio is pretty good software to begin with, if you want to get started. It's advanced enough to do some great stuff, but pretty easy to learn how to use for the most part.

I guess it costs money though, but, like... Well, you know.

I write most of the songs and most of the parts to the songs in my band with Roland, and i just write poetry for lyrics pick a key a note and start there. If your not very musical just tinker around you'll get something you will like eventually.
