      I predict a future Game Boy that lacks a screen, but uses 3D holographic display in a similar manner to this for games.

            That sounds too much like what the Virtual Boy was trying to be. Or those stupid little games on that cheap little thing with the "eye patch" screen.

                  And thus we have the next household novelty toy (to join those swinging balls that knock back and forth into each other, lava lamps, laser globes, etc.)
