    What you're doing now? 2006

Don't take it literally...!!! I'm curious to know what peeps (especially the oldtimers) are doing with their lives now, compared to what they were doing when they started posting here.

I was in high school...grade 11 back in 2000 and I lived at home. Well, I still live at home...but I'm now just about to graduate from UoT with a BSc in Psychology. Plus, I've applied to teach overseas in Japan this coming August, through the JET Programme.

    So what about you?

Re: What you're doing now? 2006

I first came here in 2000. I was a sophomore in high school.

Now I'm working on a degree in electrical engineering, building a battery electric car in my garage, and amassing a collection of firearms.

I intend to eventually live off grid in a trailer or RV, perhaps in some place down south where it's warm. Definately in the country or in a swampy/forested area. I'll grow most of my own food, generate my own electricity with wind turbines/solar panels/wood/sterling engine, and spend my days on as little cash as possible, using all that free time to read, make videogames, ect.

As for my degree, I just want the knowledge and the practical applications it entails. After I pay off my student loans, I'm a gettin' the **** outta' here!

I was in college when I started posting here... I didn't have a PC of my own so I posted from the various labs around campus. I was living in the dorms because I was poor.

Now I live in a house... at least for the time being. I work some job doing boring stuff. Then I come home and play video games or draw. So basically I've replaced college with work and not much else has changed.

when I first came here in 2000, I had a job, and shared a computer with my dad.
since then, I have gone through several computers of my own, lost several jobs due to the horrible local economy, moved out of my parents house, and moved back in. Oh, and I run the pavilion now too.

I've been conducting a lot of research in the field of game dev, product design and team management so as to prepare for starting my own game dev studio, GM Productions, in sunny California once I get my computer engineering bachelors and MBA.

I intend to develop exclusively for Nintendo consoles, at least initially, due to the much lower dev costs in contrast to the other consoles and my interest in their hardware and product design.

I plan on hiring Paul as my right-hand man, and offering select other Pavilion members positions in the future.

After two successful games or so, I intend to return to University for my PhD.

The 300,000 unit sweet spot at best. Realistically around 200,000-250,000.

Sure you have, you're not named JKilla anymore. I was here in the 6th grade for the first time, but didn't register till the 7th grade. I'm at the end of the 11th grade now. I did live in Florida with my mother and now I live in Georgia with my father.

Re: What you're doing now? 2006

I first came here from the computer lab of my first college in Oct 2000 when I first began my dropping out process. Which basically meant I'd go to the computer lab and spend time here and various other websites instead of going to classes. I was majoring in Computer Science which I'd only been interested in because I would've loved to work in video games but using RPGM made me realize I was really only into writing the story and situations and didn't care for building/coding a game much. So I wanted to drop out of that school and apply to a college away from my home town (so I would no longer be living with my mother) that had a film program because that was what I really wanted to do.

Now, I'm in a technical college still in my home town, still living with my mother. And majoring in what? Computer Technology. And yes I'd still much rather be out of this town and at least pretending to pursue a career in filmmaking. Instead, I'm stuck with the life I have and hoping it doesn't last too much longer.

I first came here in 2001, when I was in seventh grade. Just like Alt, I now am coming to the end of my junior year of highschool.

In that time I've learned how to program, which has all but ended my enthusiasm for the RPGM series. I pretty much quit playing video games, with the exception of WoW, yet my obsession with it is casual at best. I think I've matured a lot, though perhaps it isn't up to me to decide that.

Let's see.. I believe I made my first appearance in late 2002/early 2003. I can't remember exactly, because I know I was at agetec for a few months prior to ever posting at the Pavilion.

I was a freshman in high school when I arrived. Now, my senior year is coming to a close in less than three short months. My plans aren't concrete yet, but if everything goes well, I'll be moving to Montreal in September to pursue studies in french, psychology, religion, or who knows what. Wish me luck!

I was in the middle of my summer vacation right before my senior year, June or July of '01. Now I'm almost 5 years out of high school, and still working my way up to being able to attend college/have a car. I suck.

I dont remember when I registered, but it was a year or two ago. Been at the Agetec site since 2002.

Back then I was in Grade 10.

Now Im 19, living in some cheapass dorms attending TRU, and taking Culinary Arts. Still dont have my drivers liscense, and dont really want one either.

God I love working in a kitchen. Just the other day one of the guys in my class grabbed two pairs of tongs, and ran sideways accross the kitchen going "WOOPWOOPWOOPWOOP!" Zoidberg style. Classic.
