    The bologna of Japan

I found this quite entertaining because there are so many fans of this "Orange Dynamo" (Personally I got no clue what's the big deal about a cartoon.)

    Naruto

Naruto: Most commonly known as the "bologna of Japan," a.k.a. the star-shaped fish cake usually found sliced up and floating in bowls of ramen, is also the name of one of anime's fastest rising stars -- Uzumaki Naruto.
It's in the Video Game sections because it's 1up.com and It's mostly about Video Games I think...

Hmm. Well, yes. The Naruto fighting games on GC are pretty good. They are freaking amazing as far as anime based fighting games go. Don't bother with the PS2 and GBA games. They are trash. Also, if you are a big fan, just import the latest one (#4) or #2 which can be found for $30 and has more characters that have appeared in the English version like Gaara. http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...to-70-2n1.html The first game only has like 8 characters.

I dont understand what's the big deal about it though, it's just a cartoon right? It's not like Star Trek or anything. Then again Bugs Bunny was just a cartoon also and look how huge he is now.

The anime is pretty bad, filled with flashbacks every other second.

I do like the manga, and I like the sense of honor and trust between friends...even though they are training to be ninjas.

I say the same about Star Trek. WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT IT HUH? Everyone has their tastes. I happen to like Naruto, aside from the stupid filler they put in every show.

I can't quite properly convey how much I dislike this post.

I watched like first 120 something episodes before I stopped.

They should have stopped after the whole Zabuza thing, or at most after the chounin exams.

After that it was the same crap over and over again.

i've only read a couple of naruto's shonen jump appearances.. and the only thing i find appealing is the fact he's a ninja in training. kenji(red earth) or strider hiryu should be more popular than naruto based on character design and coolness alone... but i guess they don't have a manga or an animated show, so what have you.

i guess my point is, naruto's okay, but i don't get how it's become so beloved.

Strider also doesn't have a story based on the DBZ formula of popularity.

I like the naruto anime. I mean, the flashbacks are a little much (we've all seen Naruto stab himself with a kunai, thanks), but I live with it, just like I do with Zatch Bell (when they take each battle to re-articulate exactly why Zatch wants to be a kind king.) Usually, they have that cool music playing, so I just glaze my eyes over and listen to that.

For those that have been through DBZ, Naruto has to be taken in stride.

                            I know I do.

I think the design in Naruto is REALLY strong.

But man. The fight scenes. I can't tell what's happening. This is a problem with most curent manga though. Far too convliluted layout.

At least the Anime clears that aspect of it up, but it moves SO SLOW. Each episode is like five pages of the manga. And so much exposition. I hate it when characters explain what they're doing, unless it's ironic. And it never is.

Anyway: The GC game is getting good reviews. It's been said that it stands on its own both as a licensed game and as a indepth fighter.
