    I Have a Question...

I read you can only register 100 characters. What I wanted to know, does that ean you're limited to 100 characters total, or 100 character models ? I was kinda confused about that. What I mean is, if this question is unclear, is if you made a generic villager NPC, can that villager be used in multiple locations, or just one?

Just one. Sorry. Trust me, if we could have a generic villager, we'd all just make the pokemon-esque 5 different villager models.

I wonder why they did that?

Yeah, it would have been easy to just make a townsperson an event graphic, just to display a "hello! how are you?" type message. Hopefully, RPGM4 (if there is an RPGM4) will fix it.

Hey, Silver Senmurv. Welcome to the Pavilion. I think you'll like it here.

Yes, the 100 character limit is, well, limiting, but you can use event graphics to give you info. if you must. I've resorted to this in my game to allow for more spread out people. You could use pots with messages hidden inside, or trees with messages scrawled on them, or just about anything...a talking pile of bones...

I was thinking about doing that. I've heard about a multiple file trick. How does that work?

Just click on the search icon at the top of the forum and type "multiple file trick." This will take you to a variety of posts that have been started related to it.
