i just don't get it. it's not a substantial enough improvement over the original(which is awesome) in my opinion to warrant this type of craze. but i guess it's finally getting the love it was wrongly denied at launch, so it all evens out.

With the amount of time I spent and am spending on Mario Kart DS, if I can get a new DS that doesn't make my hands want to fall off because of its weight, I'm all aboard.

Plus, it's sexy.

Ugh. Huge lines for that? A slightly smaller DS? I can understand it for Dragon Quest VII, or VIII for that matter, but a DS?

the japanese love lining up for things early, its like a national past time. they took up entire streets (not the sidewalk, no, the street itself) waiting in line for the End of Evangelion movie.

I think the excitement is actually due to the sleek look, incredibly bright and clear screen and much more comfortable controls (They're spring-loaded and smooth, unlike DS Fat, which tends to be blister-enducing when playing Mario Kart extensively. I know from experience. Ouch) in contrast to the original rather than the size.
