    Microsoft Handheld?

    http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_bl...ic_id=24365883

Looks like Microsoft's portable device is going to be more gaming centered than the "iPod with gaming added" approach hinted at before. If that is what Origami Project is then we'll know in a couple days. Otherwise, who knows when they'll reveal what they're up to.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I recall that old Origami project video. It was meant to show potential uses for the handheld device, including games. Granted, the Halo "game" playing on the mock-up device is really stock footage, but it's an interesting prospect nonetheless.

To be honest, though, it looks like MS is considering Nintendo a non-issue again and trying to bite a chunk out of PSP's side of the market with a multimedia AND PC functionality emphasis. We'll find out what this thing really is within the next few days.

Once again, I believe this will turn into another GameGear...(though I still have fond memories of Chakeran : The Forever Man)

I wouldn't mind a cheap laptop for internets purposes...but I doubt that thing will be cheap.

If it were a games machine, that is. According to recent statements and going-ons, MS apparently wish to brandish it as an iPod/PSP killer. It might not even have a physical game format, kind of like XBox Live Arcade, if it has one at all.

I already like my DS for playing games, I already like my iPod for listening to music, and every other feature they could cram in a handheld I would be completely indifferent to.
