Two angles are called complementary angles if the sum of their degree measurements equals 90 degrees. However in the first comic, the angles are instead "complementing" each other. Like if I said I liked your hair, that would be a complement. Hence the joke...And if you still don't get it...I can't help you...in fact i don't think anyone could...Everything is a Riemann sum of a lot of nothing.
