Hot Japanese RM2 love, courtesy "TAKE", at RPGMM.

Ever wanted to know what you could do with RPG Maker 2? Well, look no further.

After securing permission from the creator, I have been allowed to show off this guy's game on the Mag.

See what the hype's about. I'm sure you guys will appreciate it!

I checked this out. All I can say is KICK ASS.
This dude is seriously a master at RPGM2. From the videos, battle had NO LAG whatsoever. This is definately a pretty game.

I want to know how he made the enemies react to the damage.

          Implessive!

(And VonWert: He probably just used event control change and a lie down command set to about a 15 degree angle) (still implessive!)

          MOO!

everyone, take note! this is the kind of results that can be achieved with rpgm2. the battle/combo system is very cool looking and it's an impressive display overall. giving nash and anyone else working on a real-time battle system a lesson or two.

That guy can give Nash a run for his money!

I LOVED that video. I'm very glad that our overseas bretheren have caught up to us. I would download that game in an instant.

That looks pretty cool. We could learn a lot from Take. It's probably the nicest looking RPGM2 game I've seen.

This almost makes me want to make a game for RPG Maker 2.

Do you use Variables to calculate HP in a Real-Time battle system like that? I cannot begin to think of how to create something like that.

It looks very complex and very hard to do.

Yes, you'd use a variable to keep track of HP. Don't know what else you'd use.

Sure would be nice if there was someone who would localize games like this for us.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

it would involve re-scripting the whole thing line for line, setting up VFX to be exactly the same, object placement the same, it'd be more complicated than localizing a real game.

Only way to play that game is to get his game save and a copy of RPG Tsukuru 5, huh?
