    Torino Olympics

Sorta watching the snowboard/ski stuff going on now.

I'm mostly surprised how goddamn commercial it all is. Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Sony Playstation, AOL, movie trailers for a SNOWBOARDING MOVIE from Universal Pictures. The logos are EVERYWHERE. It's like Minority Report, Mission to Mars or I, Robot. Except not the future.

Am I a Naive Pollyanna or something?

My olympics coverage has been routinely intervaled by the Eight Below trailer.

"Inspired by a true story." But did they just flash a shot of a ****ing dinosaur?!
        **** YOU Disney!
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

Do the Olympics even draw a crowd?

My father told me that when he went to the 1988 Olympics in Seoul (he was stationed there), they were giving away tickets and busing in service members to fill in the stands.

They draw a crowd everywhere but in the US, just like soccer.

If its not called SSX, I want nothing to do with it.

The Olympics would be better if they were all in the nude, just like old times.

Know what theme I'm really sick of?

                      The Olypics.

Every two years is just way too soon.

Yeah, those Olypics suck. I'm not a big fan of the Olympics, either.

I usually catch a few events every time the Olympics roll around. I enjoy seeing competition on a global scale. These games are very important to nations that don't get very much recognition.

when i went to bed last night, curling was on the teevee

when i woke up, curling was still on.

                            good ****ing day.

I don't ever remember the Winter Olympics being a big deal. McDonald's has whored out the Summer Olympics for the last three times or so that I can remember, but I hadn't noticed anything for the Winter Olympics on this scale. This year, it's just exploded with commercialism.

                              I don't care.
