View Full Version : Stuff Involving Ring Man (Help Wanted)
I require artistic assistance. I'm working on a project that involves Ring Man from Mega Man 4. I need someone with at least presentable drawing skills and/or someone good with coloring (method of coloring dosen't matter; CG or handcoloring are both fine).
Can anyone help me out here? If anyone's interested, post here and contact me via PM for application and elaboration regarding the project.
If one more person says that, I'll consider it.

I'm, interested. give details.
I'm interested. I can draw MegaMan guys pretty good and I'm skilled at coloring.
Here is an example of my MegaMan work.

Not that this piece isn't finished yet and that I changed the "megaman" style, but you get the idea.
Well, alright.
It's a flash movie series I've been writing about Ring Man, the self-proclaimed "master battle strategist", who goes about trying to find a way to 0wnzz Mega Man. Accompanied by a few other robot masters, he goes about looking for... stuff... he needs to set up his ultimate battle strategy.
It's a humorous series that implements "Bobobo-esque" humor along with a special something I'm not sure how to classify. Such includes Ring Man and Shade Man's heartbreaking divorce, Stone Man's odd appetite and Wily as a dominatrix.
Unfortunately, my drawing skills are limited to storyboards, and I have never dabbled in flash before. That's pretty much why I need an artist and a person whom can implement the animation in flash, or one capable of both.
So, who's up for it?
Oh, I see. No wonder no one commented on the premise.
In that case, can you hit me with a picture of Ring Man in a cool pose (with his normal physical appearance)?
Hold it right there. Unlike Bobobo, I'm balancing between sane humor and crazy crap. I'm going for plenty of appeal here. The stuff I mentioned are amongst the occasional nutty situations. I just mentioned a small portion of the unique things in this dealie. The big skinny is strictly between the artist and myself. So, don't bag it, yet.
Oh, and another ad lib: "You have dishonored my a**! Now you will die!"
Bump.
Once again, I ask you for your help (or at least someone to actually apply... Monkey King dosen't wish to cooperate, so the positions are still open.)
Also, I've got an almost-title ready for this thing; Automatonic Madness: Ring Man's Misadventures or Automatonic Tacticism: Ring Man's Story.
It's extremely difficult for me to think of a good title for this thing, and this is the almost-result.
Alright, this is my final call for help regarding this project.
I decided to name the series "Ring Man Adventures" for the sake of simplicity. Paul, the only one here who supported this project, let alone his sticking with me through thick and thin, is taking care of the character art. Also, I have hired someone to take care of the coloring. I shall be taking care of the base animations, storyboards, writing, music, voice coaching and putting everything together in Flash (whee).
Now I'm missing only one thing, save voice actors; a background artist.
Since Paul isn't too good with backgrounds, I need someone capable of drawing backgrounds of presentable quality in the cases of buildings (inside and outside), city districts, fields, desert terrain, canyons, space, oceans, etc. (either 2D or 3D).
This is my final plea. Please consider.

sounds like a pretty damn serious under taking actually. I like to help but man it is just too much. my backgrounds would be good and all but it will take up to much of my time, sorry.
Sorry, Programer, I am interested, but I'm way to busy with school and work and my own projects right now. I'm sorry if I lead you on.

I can do voice acting.
Thanks anyway, BIOHUNTERZ. It's true that I am dead set on taking care of this project, though.
Loki, I understand you tend to be quite busy, but you really don't have any excuse for not taking a couple of minutes to contact me about whether or not you were still able to help me out rather than letting it remain in limbo for a month.
Armored, I'm afraid I'm not looking for VAs at the moment. I wish to make some art progress first. I may consider in the future, once some animation is done.
Anyway, each episode will be about 20 minutes in length. The music will span several tracks from the series (including the GB series *cough*MMV*cough*), mostly, and a few I'm making myself. Most of the sound effects have been chosen.
Additionally, I plan on implementing either 2D characters animated frame-by-frame on mostly-3D backgrounds (How the hell do you do that in Flash, anyway?) or, and this is what I'd likely rather, presentable 2D backgrounds.

20 MINS!!!!!!!! I have worked in a post studio and dude a freaking 20 min cartoon esp for broadcast takes well over several months to produce (if you want any semblence of quality that is). Just warning ya.
Actually, it's a Flash animation to be posted on the Net, not a full-blown TV production. I am aware that it would take some months to put together, and plan on doing that. I've got almost everything I need. Thanks for the tip, though.
