This last weekend was great. It was my brothers' idea to bring out the SNES. They wanted to play Super Mario All-Stars, and I was all for that. My fiancée, Beka, was also over, and she said she'd love to watch one of my brothers and I duke it out in 2-player SMB3. She's never even seen any incarnation of that game, let alone played it and wanted to know what it was like.
So we started playing, and it was like riding a bike. We still knew where EVERYTHING was: whistles, 1ups, coin heavens, EVERYTHING. I even had the sequences for the flip-card "memory" game still memorized. Beka was like: "THAT'S JUST CRAZY", and after thinking about it, I think she's right. I haven't played that game in at least eight years, if not longer. I guess you just can't ever forget the memories of a really great game.
