    Faces of Death

Has anybody thought to customize the Death character model along these lines?

Just curious if this is an original idea or if someone beat me to it (like with many of my "Original Ideas").

    Peace.

i myself hadn't thought of that.. but, that's really awesome looking.

Hmm... the only response I can think of is:

Not on the death character, no.
At one point in time, I was thinking about making a character with a skull head, but I never go around to trying it becous it wouldn't work with my CBS.

          Yours looks awesome.

It looks so obvious to do that, but I never thought of it. Good ol' Rodak.

              Why Not?

I have an entirely VFX driven CBS (or MDBS) (or some other acronym that makes me sound like I know what I'm doing).

              Tutorial upcoming in vfx guide.

And thanks for the comments. I thought this must have been done by now...

              I guess not.

              Peace.

                  But...

I use that command for every effect in Videogamedrome...

                  Oh well.

I'll cover this in the guide so the moint is poot,

                  Peace.

                    Hey, idea:
if you have the VFX with a 0F effect, and have a script branch: repeat instead of Display 0 (or infinite), wouldn't it 'reboot' the VFX if you used the clear effects command? *checks out*

                      Re: Faces of Death

That is good thinking, and it sort of works, but the drawback is that, being an action script, it gets held up in between the "Clear All FX" and the "Reboot" so that the effect will be off while anything going on in a content script is running.

                      Example:

The living sword main character in Videogamedrome swings on a map with VFX.

I need to clear all effects before playing the swing animation or the wait animation will still be there.

Now, lets say that I used the looping action script for a nearby effect.

It would vanish with the clear command, but stay gone for the entire swing and only come back when the script that called the swing animation has finished running.

If swinging at a VFX Enemy this would be disasterous!

It's just like when wanderers stop wandering while you are talking to someone else.

Action scripts have limits that make this great idea fail.

Nash's new trick may help here... but I already have a way around this with which I am familiar and and which works flawlessly, so that is the one I shall detail in my VFX Editor Guide 1st Draft.

                      Peace.
