Games on sites without permission. RPGM1 users READ

I recently found a site run by the creator of the HORRIBLE RPGM1 game "Leisure Suit Larry 8. He has quite a few RPG Maker 1 games and demos hosted there that I know he never got permission to host.

if you are interested to see if he has anything of yours on his site, check the pages below:
    http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/drag...yourdemos.html

If you want to contact him about removing your games, his e-mail address is: dragonproductions@mail

I was hoping the guy might have some lost games but I've played all of those except two. I remember a lot of RPGM1 games had disclaimers at the beginning of them saying that anyone is free to put it(the game) on their site as long as the creator is given credit. It probably doesn't apply to all the games hes got there though I'm just throwing it out there.

Hey dragonproductions, as long as your putting games on your site, why not remove some of the bad ones you got there?

well, Eternal Retardia 2 is on his site, which John Mora has never given permission to any site but the pavilion to have.

I say Mora needs to smite his arse with holy Mora goodness.

I saw a lot of pavvies' games on there. I hope they didn't give permission to that guy.

I even saw G.W. Bush's Cocaine Quest. Better let your man know, Nix.

You know, I worked as much if not more than Dave on that game, yet people never seem to realize that. That was my first big project with RPGM1.

I'll ask him to take it down because of the lack of proper acknowledgement to one of the game's creators. I'm sure he'll have no clue what I'm talking about.

Valk, that e-mail you posted won't work. Do you have his full e-mail address?

                  EDIT- NM, I found it.

He tells me that he's removing all the games, even though he knows he got permission from all the creators of the games and demos on his site. He just doesn't have proof.

So he sees no way he can win, but doesn't want to lose all the files that are actually his, because he for some reason does not have them backed up on his computer, so he's removing the rest to keep his stuff from being killed along with it.

He said he got permission and referred me to Dave. This was after I explained that I was co-creator of the game. What a dumbass.

your full rpgs I have taken everything down because of rpg maker pavilion. I asked permision from you all,I wanted my site to not just be ego trip of only my work but sadly the pavilion thinks otherwise. If you your game on my site let me know I will put it up. otherwise im just tired of all these years that I was faithful to eveyone and never threatened anyone or received complaints till now thanks
he blames me for him stealing your games, and you wanting them down.

I gave him a bunch of advice on how to tackle the situation in a way that would not threaten his site.

                              Example:

                              1. Take down the offending games and seek out permissions again. Put the games you were able to obtain permissions for on your website. Document the permission granting from each individual.

Basically, I told him that there wasn't anything he could do, because he couldn't prove that Valk had not known about his website offering other people's games prior to this, because he thought Valk was seeking out a personal vendetta because Leisure Suit Larry 8 was offensive. He also couldn't prove that he had gained permission from anybody, short of asking those people again. In essence, he was ****ed.

So he took the easy way out.
