so, in the 'world organization' menu, i've placed BGM tracks that should be playing when i'm on that designated map... but they're not playing. what gives?

Re: quick BGM question
Perhaps you are using Enter Map scripts.
They override the music settings in World Organization and you need to set the music in the above mentioned Enter Map script.
On the bright side you can now change the pitch and tempo (just set it back to normal when leaving that map or the changes carry over).
I hope that's it.
If not, let me know.

Re: quick BGM question
yeah, i thought it was weird too. guess i'll mess around with it a bit..i started on hard, so there'd be no excessive or needless scripts in my menus. other than that, i don't know why it wouldn't be working.
Edit: by the way, the music does play if i place it in the 'enter map' slot.Last edited by Manji; 01-28-2006, 06:40 PM.

Re: quick BGM question
Don't you still have to place a script to get the default map BGM to play? Something like play map music or something (don't have the game on right now to check)? If I remember correctly, I think the map BGM set in world organization won't play until you tell it to play. It's been a long while since I've used world organization to set the BGM, so my memory's a bit faded wrt that.

Re: quick BGM question
But... my bgm plays from World Organization without being told!
Something else is going on here...
(Unless it's because I started in Easy then changed to hard and there is something in the pre set To Map / Facing or Enter Map defaults I never noticed...)
That must be it.
I think.
Oy.
