    Going to a WWE PPV

(This is not a "I hate wrestling" thread, so DON'T start any sorta argument in here about how you think it sucks balls. If you don't like it, fine. This thread is directed towards the people who watch/enjoy the show.)

Febuary 19th 2006, Smackdown presents No WAY OUT. I shall be on the ground floor in the fourth row (ringside). Hopefully it'll be a good show, as I have gone to events before, but never a PPV.

I went to a PPV once.

    It was sweet.

    Don't remember what happened, though.

X-pac fought in a cage match and that was awesome.

Yeah they have some unique match-ups. Maybe there will be a LAdder match or something to that degree. Should be fun either way. And they usually run longer too, so instead of the normal 3 hour show (Velocity/Smackdown) it will prolly be around 4 hours.

I used to love those old WCW vs. NWO games. Never a huge wrestling fan, though.

I haven't watched wrestling in a long time. I got turned away by the storylines.

Yeah, many of them nowadays are just prepostorous.

I miss ECW. Storylines never really mattered there.

I was a big fan when the WWE was the WWF.

                  Hope you have fun, Omni.

I didn't think the story ever mattered anyway. The plots were usually basically, "This guy hates this guy, mostly because the other guy talks crap about him and wants his championship belt, and also hangs out with his girlfriend. So they'll settle their differences in the ring. Except there's no real settlement, because someone's cronies comes in to turn the tables on the other guy at the last second anyway." Pornos have better plotlines.

Been awhile since I've watched any WWE.

                    They doing anything particularly new?

I sorta stopped watching at around the time of the name change.

WWF circa 1989-1999 >>>>> WWE today.

                      'Nuff said.

                      Hope you have fun.

Ya i have that game. It was pretty fun but way too easy. I could beat the computer on Hard mode with my eyes closed.

Re: Going to a WWE PPV

Actually I kinda enjoy Smackdown vs. RaW 2006. But I mostly just create shows and watch who wins in general manager mode.

They do have some pretty enjoyable storylines. Lately they have a guy who comes out and eats live earthworms. It kinda runs by two shows now though, RAW being the first brand and Smackdown being the second. Each brand has thier own PPVs, and I'm going to a Smackdown one. Though some PPvs are joint, meaning both brands compete in that show at one time.

I think the whole brand thing is an attempt to try and make it more like how a proffesional sport is conferenced, ala Eastern Confrence Vs. Western Conference (NBA) or AFC vs. NFC (NFL).

I stopped watching after Eddie died. It just wasn't the same.
