So, will you be getting a Revolution before Thanksgiving or wait until the Christmas season? I think I'll run out and get it on Day 1 if retro games downloads will be available right off the bat.

Re: Something to be thankful for.
I'll probably get it whenever a must have game comes out for it. I'm less hesitant to get a revolution than a 360 or PS3 simply because there's less of a chance that it'll be screwed up.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Super Smash Bros. Meele is a must-have game for GC. Also, look into the MegaMan Anniversary Collection if you're like me.
I believe whether or not I'll be getting a Revolution from day one goes without saying; a resounding yes. There's always at least two or three titles I enjoy for every Nintendo console launch, and plenty more soon afterwards, with the exception of the DS and it's early drought. But that was compensated for, now wasn't it?

This generation is no exception, since I am curious as to how the launch titles will take advantage of Nintendo's bold little move.
EDIT: Hey, that reminds me; MegaMan1-7 have been confirmed to be part of the Revolution backlog, which should be available from the get-go. No need to get the collection.
AW CRAP! I wish I had gotten some shares earlier, Nintendo's stock went up 6.4%....Last edited by RPGD; 01-20-2006, 06:22 PM.

Re: Something to be thankful for.
I dont enjoy the fact that all the good X-Box games are for my PC, so there is no way im getting a 360. PS3 is going to be to rich for my blood. So Rev is the way to go for me.
I got the gamecube right off the bat too. Just got my PS2 in 2002 so i'm going to go with the trend.
I'll miss RPG maker, Monster rancher, Final Fantasy, and ZOE (If they even think of making these great games again.)

Re: Something to be thankful for.
GameCube I got right off the bat (with not-so-great Luigi's Mansion and Rogue Squardron II, but made up for it with Smash Bros soon after). My current Cube collection contains only 8 games (plus the two Zelda bonus disks, plus the Game Boy Player0, but it was worth it. (My PS2 collection has the same amount, though the 4 Ratchets and 2 RPGMs make up the most of it.)
Likewise, I'll probably do the same with Revolution, especially if Smash 3 comes out at or around launch again. And assuming backwards compatability works without a hitch, I'll be selling my GameCube at the same time.

Re: Something to be thankful for.
By the gravys, for those who aren't aware, there's a significant difference between the Virtual Console backward compatibility, ROMs and classics available for download elsewhere: The Revolution shan't emulate the NES, SNES or N64, rather it shall have dedicated hardware for each generation.
According to Jaxel from MegaMan Network, a Nintendo rep he conversed with stated that the console shall have three special chips designed to take care of NES, SNES and N64 games from the backlog. Basically, these chips are the entire consoles crammed into a single, minute piece of hardware. The SNES chip, which the rep showed him, is apparently called the "SNES 2006".
What is it with the Japanese and making everything small?

They make things small as a sign of support to otakus. </hard to get joke for some...>Originally posted by RPGDesignerWhat is it with the Japanese and making everything small?
I just got a DS, so I probably won't get another counsole for a couple years. I blow all my money on PS2 games and D&D stuff (plus I need to save to buy a car.)

You'd rather play a console bigger than the Xbox? What is it with the Japanese and making everything small?"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change.
