Geez, 60+ Characters? (Mortal Kombat Related)

Apparently MK7 (Mortal Kombat Armageddon) will have 60+ characters, a "create your own fighter" mode, and a way to create your own Fatalities. VERY interesting to see how this one will turn out, in my opinion.

Current rumors circulating is that MKA will contain every fighter ever in an MK game, and it will be the last time you will ever play as any of them, as the rumors are indicating they will all be done away with in this game one way or another and a brand new cast will be in any future MK games. (If they make anymore).

Been awhile since I played some MK. I'd love to see what the create-a-character mode is like. I think this may be a must-have.

As long as I can still do the hilarious "Johnny Cage lifts victim over head and uses an over-the-shoulder backbreaker which results in victim exploding into 4 skulls/5 rib cages/20 femurs" fatality.

Over 60 characters is very doable. DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi, with including transformed states, had 80 pickable characters. Of course making 60+ characters isn't going to be easy. What I'm curious about is the create-a- character mode. Not many fighting games have a very customizable one of those. When I talk about customization I don't just mean the appearance I mean the moves. What if the fatality is the only move you can pick/create for your character?

I think you mean "newer" version of MK Trilogy. This game would have to pull some pretty amazing stuff to be better.

Mora, you must not have played MK in quite a while. They reinvented the entire engine with the last two games, they are VERY playable.

My latest issue of Game Informer arrived today confirming everything that was said about this game. It even showed the create a fighter thing, and it is very detailed from what I can see.

The custom fatality system will rock, the developers said there will still be character specific fatalities, but with the added addition of being able to stab, decapitate, chop off legs/arms, in any order or combination you want.

Sounds like this game will give the censor whores a run for their money.
