    Dexdrive! GRRRRR.

So, I went to use it. it insisted that my memory card was not formatted. it was. in fact, I had just saved to it a moment earlier. I was like "screw you, I'll try a different card". it then insisted that my "firmware wasnt compatible with the dexdrive hardware". I have NEVER gotten that error message. normally its the "dex drive not found!" error message that we all know and hate. well, I cliked okay, and then got the "dex drive not found!" error. in spite of this, the light on the dex drive itself is shining nice and bright. I have un-installed the dex drive software several times, using the backup copy we keep on the pavilion to re-install it, and my own disks. nothing works. it worked fine last night.

oh, I hate you, interact. I'm glad your company is DEAD. YOU ****ING DESERVE IT.

This is why I see so much potential with the PSP, specifically a PSP RPG Maker. You could just download the game on your computer and transfer it via USB. It'd be so easy! YEAH

This might sound stupid but it would be cooler if a videogame console used USB flash drives as memory cards. MUCH more practical. (And easier to transfer).

That's what I thought you could do with the PS2 when I bought one.

              HINT: You can't.

The reason they don't is that they only want you to buy expensive memory cards made by their company, and 'cos using a filesystem that works with USB would open up the system to vulnerabilities.

Which is fine with me. Opening up their system to vulnerabilities, that is.

I'd like to open my PS2 up to vulnerabilities, vunlnerabilities such as installing an emulator or two.

well, one day their will be direct console-to-website uploading and downloading. It's the next natural step. (Hint, hint, agetec!)

Actually, this is possible right now, although not practical or user friendly.
If you have a max drive, network adapter, and broadband, you can store your RPGM 2 and 3 saves directly to the online maxdrive storage, and share it with everyone.

In fact, i recently got on there, and noticed that someones RPGM 2 game was there. I also Uploaded Forgottten Isle to it. This is cool but saves arent nessasarily easy to find.

If RPGM 4 had direct to website saving/loading....maybe some community options....
                          hmmm....

it would be easier than downloading from website, transfering to max drive, converting to memcard, etc.

It's something agetec wants to do. dont know how enterbrain feels about it though.

The only pain I had with the dex drive was having to pry the friggin memory card out after every use.
