This is about the Megaman X Collection.

Capcom said that X4, X5, and X6 were to be re-translated and re-dubbed for the collection.

There have been a few minor modifications made to the games, although they're somewhat inconsistent. Strangely, the original MMX appears to have had its dialogue touched up, while the horrendous translations in X4-X6 are untouched. (Hope you like your bad guys named after members of Guns 'N' Roses.) However, there is a major change to X6 -- the Japanese-language voice acting has been removed, leaving the entire game vocal-free.

I had decided to buy the game the second I saw it with some trade-ins. NOT THE CASE NOW. Capcom will not get my money from yet another game where I have to see "Duff McWhalen". Yes, this is the first Megaman game that I will not own.

I'm still going to buy this collection. Them not retranslating the game isn't a big deal to me, I still like the games alot, especially MMX4, that was my favorite. MMX4 is almost in and of itself reason enough for me to buy it since I can't find the original PSOne copy anywhere.

well, I wouldnt have an issue with this if they didnt promise the megaman community that things would be fixed.

I already have Megaman X1-6, and Rockman X1-6, and Megaman Battle and Chase. and yes, the PS/Saturn/PC versions of all the games that apply.

So there's just no reason for me to buy the collection and make capcom think I dont mind being lied to.

I agree, I think Mega Man X4 is the best Mega Man out there, and I have yet to play X5 and X6. So I am gonna pick it up, plus its only 30 bucks.

I liked MMX4 the most. For someone like me whom does not own the original games, there is alot of value to it. Finding all the games on Ebay would cost me alot more than what this disc sells for, and MMX4 is very hard to find and I REALLY want that game.

I can understand that it doesn't have value for those that already own all the games. However, I don't think the collection was aimed at people that already have all the games. Probably people like me who don't.

Unfortunatly I only play the megaman games for gameplay not for the characters names.

I think X5 and X6 were both great games, but I didn't have as much fun with them as I did X4. I would probably rate the top three as X4, X6 and X5, in that order.

out of the whole series, I'd go X4, X8, X2 for top three.

I have nine copies of X4 already though. no big hurry to have another. I buy all international packaging varients of all megaman games, which means that I have extra copies of greatest hits games, the japanese versions that came with special model kits, the normal japanese versions, the UK versions...

Valk, that is EXTREMELY awesome.

I mean it. I know how you feel because I'm the same way with Final Fantasy. I guess Final Fantasy is to me as Mega Man appears to be to you. I hope to someday to own the japanese Final Fantasy games, all of them. I want them all bad but don't have any way of getting them.

The only Japanese games I have is Advanced Variable Geo 2 (PSX) and Street Fighter II (Super Famicom).

Bahamut Lagoon was a ton of fun to play. It was pretty much the precursor to Final Fantasy Tactics. (Gameplay wise).

I liked MMX, but I never played the rest of the series. I doubt that I will pick this title up.
