Does anyone else have it? (PS2)

I love this game, would like to play it online with Pavilionites that have the game and a broadband connection.

I heard it wasn't for many people.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

You're probably talking about the review, most good games get bad reviews.

It seems quite contrary and ironic that most good games should get bad reviews.

Of course, Jeremy's black and white hypothesis of video game reviews overshadows all and is obviously perfect. I kid. I got no beef with you.

As for the topic at hand, I am very mixed when it comes to Gauntlet. Two friends and I were waiting for a movie to start once, and in the arcade they had a Gauntlet machine. I forget which one it was, but it definitely had a subtitle. The three of us spent the entire time before the movie playing it and we had a blast. After the movie ended, I immediately went to Best Buy and bought the PSX version (again, I don't remember the subtitle). It was a terribly stripped down version of the arcade, and it was so boring and repetitive that we played it for three hours and never touched it again.

So I won't be touching Gauntlet ever again.

Rick, I have no "black and white" hypothesis on games and I don't feel that my opinion overshadows all. I never said anything like that so I would appreciate if you can show me an example where I did do so, before judging me like that.

Also, why are you not wanting to play Gauntlet again because of your bad experience with Gauntlet Legends? (Yes, that was the game you're talking about). The Arcade game is at least 64-bit and the PSone is not. The PSone could not handle that game, it's not Gauntlet's fault, so your not wanting to play Gauntlet because of this perplexes me. If you really want to play a good version of Gauntlet Legends, try the Dreamcast version which was the ONLY arcade quality port to date. Or, you can try the PS2 version of Gauntlet Dark Legacy. (Dark Legacy is the exact same game as Legends but with added levels and a new end boss).

So yes, the PSOne version of Gauntlet Legends is the WORST port I have ever played. That game was horrid. But no offense but your logic is like saying that you don't want to play Mortal Kombat 3 because the Gameboy version sucked. PSOne doesn't even have half the technical capabilities to successfully port Gauntlet.

No I'm not. Everyone is constantly attacking me for no reason and arguing with me for no reason. I've never intentionally said anything to upset anyone. I don't dislike anyone on this board either.

I've never asked anyone to ever agree with me. Everyone just throws baby fits whenever I post anything.

Seriously whether anyone agrees or not it doesn't matter to me, I respect everyone's opinions just as I do my own. I guess some people on the internet just don't have tolerance that I don't automatically agree with the majority or something.

I had fun with Gauntlet: Dark Legacy and the arcade version of Gauntlet Legends although the arcade one was definately better, since your health decreased over time making the levels actually somewhat challenging. In the home version of the game, I ended up beating it without dying once because the levels and bosses were so easy. Maybe Seven Sorrows will be different.

Seven Sorrows has a completely different health system. You do level up your health but it doesn't count down.

I actually preferred the countdown system too, but that was there in the Arcade game to prevent people that are good enough from playing too long with one quarter, ethical or unethical I'm not sure.

If they don't have the player's health counting down though, they should at least make the enemies more difficult. It sounds like Seven Sorrows is pretty good though, I'll have to give it a try.

                            Yeah.

Well even though I do love Seven Sorrows, I'd reccomend renting it first as always. Any game that costs $40+ should be rented first before purchase, in my opinion.

                              How many classes/characters are there?

Do you get a familiar or better weapons when you level up?
