I did a search for this and it didn't seem like anyone else had been experiencing this problem. I'm setting up a tutorial style battle at the beginning of the game where the player can fight a few times to learn the mechanics of the combat system. I have the dialogue set properly so that the option to fight is there and it starts the battle... but the main character ends up fighting against his own character model. Now, I originally had his name in the slot for who he was fighting, so I changed it to the generic npc I set up for this fight. The generic npc is now who he fights, but his character model is replaced with the main character's. He's fighting 'trainee' but trainee looks like him. I also tried recruiting my first party member BEFORE the fight once, and all three models were identical, but they all exhibited different abilities and levels. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Edit: I also don't see an option on the character battle screen to add exp, even though a few posts here have had responses saying that it's there. I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong place, but I would assume it would be part of that menu...
Edit2: Ok, I toyed around a bit and suddenly they're just falling back to the default models for their classes. I didn't select this option when creating them, is there a default setting I'm forgetting to switch off?
