well, sony is always the japanese publisher (they own media vision). its the US releases that have been screwy as of late, since SCEA abandoned the series.

Haven't SCE's studios merged to become a single international one yet? I remember reading something about that way in the back of my head, which ensures it's complete and utter inaccuracy.

I dont think so. Xseed got it quite a long time ago, they just waited until it was almost done before they announced it.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it unless the future titles end up completely identical, like some sports franchises.

Then again, WA4 appears to be drastically different than the previous games, what with the Sci-Fi setting and the new hexagonal battle system. According to 1Up.com's preview, the only thing that apparently remains from the previous games would be the ARMs, which are significantly less abundant than they were in WA3, in which they were plentiful.

Though, the enemies seem to have helicopters and crap now.

Better graphics don't = a good game. A good game is good despite graphics. If a game seems good only because of graphics then it isn't really a good game. I've played games that have sucky graphics, but were suprisingly addictive.
