    DS & PSP future lineups?

I'm contemplating trading in my PSP for a full refund (I have the replacement plan), and getting a DS. Part of it is money (DS is hella cheaper), and I believe the DS is offering what I need...a bit of distraction in my slow moments in life when I'm not at home. PSP would be great if I had planned to be on the road lots and the future rpgs look enticing...but...the money.

I'm also disappointed in the capabilities of both online. PSP is nice but drops out from time to time, and DS isn't compatible w/ my D-Link router.

What do you guys think? What's on each in the future that I can look forward to? Thanks.

The games i'm looking forward to on PSP are Breath of Fire III and Valkyrie Profile.

DS has a lot of better games, though.

Someone DS nerd can fill you in with those details.

I aint much of a handheld gamer, but I own a DS, and I have had hella fun with Mario Kart and Sonic Rush on the thing. There is way too many DS games that I want to buy, but I avoid buying one because there is literally alot of DS games that I want to play. (Phoenix Write for one).

PSP hasnt really caught my interest at all, but the game Daxter looks like alot of fun though.

Dammit, I did wanna play Daxter. Oh well.

And you better hurry on Phoenix Wright...word on the street is that it's discontinued.

i don't know what the future holds for the psp, but if sony ever decides to pay attention to it, it'll take off. however at the moment, ds all the way. there's a long list of current games for the system that are awesome. there's only two or three games i'm currently looking foward to on it, but my finger is rarely on the pulse of upcoming gaming.

the DS being incompatible with your router is no big deal. 35 dollars will get you a USB adapter from nintendo that will take care of that.

I have a PSP, and no games for it. I plan on getting Armored Core Formula Front, Breath of Fire 3, PoPoLoCrois, and the Megaman games, but aside from that, I have no idea.

I also have a DS, which I'm unable to put down for any extended period of time. I'd rather play it than a home console. hell of a lot sturdier than a PSP too.

Re: DS & PSP future lineups?

I got a DS this past week with Mario Kart. I also picked up Sprung and Feel the Magic. So far, I think the best one is FtM. It's addictive as hell and uses quite a bit of the DS's nontraditional controls (Mainly the touch screen, but it also makes use of the microphone).

I think that barring being able to use the PSP as a Max Drive (A really ****ing expensive one at that) the DS is the better deal.

I'm intrigued by some of the stuff on the release list, like Age of Empires, Resident Evil, Xenosaga, and Seiken Densetsu DS.

I am if they have a helluva lot more stuff than the GBA versions. If it's just the same thing with wi-fi play it isn't worth it for me to bother, since I only have dialup and none of my friends has a DS.
