you want us to give you ideas for a game? that kind of takes the fun out of it.

I normally think of ideas while just walking around, and observing things. or even my dreams. you can often find the tiniest little thing in real life, and keep expanding on it, and adding onto it and soon enough you'll have a whole game idea fleshed out.

hahah..well im totally stuck and i cant think hahah!!! thats just me, i was thinking along the lines of a charater that is a swordman and his mom was a Gifted one (had some sort of spirit in her) while the villain is trying to revive a dark god....an ancient legend...well he takes down the earths 7 special gifted ones one by one...and you try to save them, well he revives the dark god and turns into him...idk and you find out hes your dad!!! IDK i cant think of anything haha

well, flesh it out more and go to work. I've found that alot of times, the best ideas come to people while they're working on their game.

            Try a Zen approach.

I just make a bunch of scenes first, then start nailing them together into a story.

I find deciding in advance what I want to do invariably gets more frustrating than doing things first and making a story out of them later.

            Especially with 3.

There are so many limitations that any expectations at all must be squashed before you even pick it up.

Treat it as "Found Object Art" where you just get a bunch of trash-picked garbage and make fine art out of it by seeing what each piece suggests to you and going with it.

This leads to the need for a very large hammer and tons of nails being needed for assembly, but I have been told that people like my stuff, so it must work.

Read this story that was constructed exactly that way:

            http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/...ad.php?t=1785]

That links to the summary of The Clean Underwear Quest. It's a long post, but the whole story was put together without advance planning.

It won't help, but it will show you the power of Not Planning.

            Peace.

            MOO!

Man, w/ RPGM3 it took less than a month to make an 8-hour game (*Begin Shameless Plug* Fatal Insanity: Coming son to the RPGM Pavilion *End Shameless Plug*).

It appears you have a fairly good plot concept for RPGM3. It tends to favor more episodic games. Just don't flesh out your plot and system too much before you've messed with the game. The graphics are awesome, but more limited in variety than RPGM2's extremely customizable setup (Quite a few character models, but you're limited to selecting from four color variations). You also want to considerv that you're limited to 100 characters per database (This includes characters in the adventuring party, and if you want a character to appear in multiple locations, you have to register multiple characters). There is a trick to link two databases together, though, so with careful planning you can create any number of characters.

After working with RPGM2, RPGM3 is a breeze. And you can always make a crappy practice game in the next few days and enter the contest if you have a max drive.

How About This: This n00b is stuck in the world of n00bopia and he must get better so he can escape and become the world's greatest n00b, Only to be eaten by some guy wearing a red carpet for a shirt. So he ends up in a dungeon surrounded by retards that think they're the greatest playas ever. so he uses the mortar in one of the guy's brains and he drills through the dunegons and ends up in Propia and he must fight all the 1337 pros like me and at the end he becomes a super n00b the end.
                LOLOLOL @ my story.

Just make it up as you go.
That's what I do, not that my game is anything to "Rave" about.
Nice name by the way. <= This guy likes it to.
