I set up a .tk domain, and a free Invision board for a friend. The only problem is, I can't figure out how to link them, so when I type www.whatever.tk it'll pull up the board.

How do I do this?

(Edit: Nevermind, now it's working just fine)

Kinda like pizza without toppings. It still tastes good but there is no reason why it should not have toppings to still taste good or maybe even taste better. Or maybe not and I am doing what I did to the last post that was figured out right away and no reason to remain open. So cool your freind must be very happy that you did this for him.
