    base stats

    ok, my game is coming along great, but the only hang up i have is stats.

    can someone give me good base stats for:
    archer:
    warrior:
    cleric:
    mage:

    i tried to cheat and use the base stats from DRAGON WARRIOR 3, but that did not pan out.

    if you have time, adveturer, and monters, although i could probably do monsters on my own.

    I cannot give you exact stats, but I can give suggestions on what you can focas on.

    archer: high dex, agility, and luck. mediocre defense, magic, and and low strength, mag. def, lotsa skills and medicore magic and HP
    warrior: high def, strength, and dex. mediocre agility and luck, and low intel, magic and magic def. lotsa skills, no magic and lotsa HP
    cleric: high magic, intel, high strgth, but medocre def, magic def, and luck, and low agility and dex. Lotsa HP, no skills, lotsa magic(healing)
    mage: high magic, intel, and magic defense, mediocre luck, agility, and dex, and low stregth and def. Little HP, no skills and hellolotsamucha(meaning a whole lot of) magic.

    I hope it helps. I have issues with stats too. Normally all my first levels keep their base stats under 10, with the highest being 10 and the lowest being 5, and I set up the monsters accordingly. It's all about how hard you want the game to be. Just make sure you don't make any monsters that are too fast for your party and that can drop a character down to death in one hit unless that monster is a boss...

    Edit: and adventurer? I always saw an adventurer as a low-powered warrior, or a jack of all trades. For example, try this for stats for a jack of all trades adventurer

    Advancement could be about 5 points for HP/MP per level.
    HP- 40 (or equal to 2/3rd warrior's respectively)
    MP- 20 ( or equal to 1/2 cleric's respectively)
    Str - 5
    Agi- 6
    Mag - 5
    Mag Def- 7
    Int - 8
    Luck - 9
    Level Up Rate - Average
    Attack Traits - Crit Up (An adventurer has a great knack with luck and his knowledge gives him an advantage on weaknesses)
    Smash (Int. Lets an adventurer know what spots can allow you to double your damage)
    Def- against Slow
    Special Attribute - Extra to running - An adventurer knows when the fight is to hard for them
    Weakness - I would base this on the character. I like to make it for the opposite sex.

    Skills - Concentrate on damage spells, and maybe one status effect spell
    Magic - Keep to spells that will enhance your party.. No healing or status effect curing spells..this will deplete your need for a cleric.

    Edit - okay, last edit. I would also reccomend opening up "Dear Brave Heart" and possibly canablizing their stats. It's not easy if you don't have a mind for the numbers portion of it...I am having a hard time coming up with stuff for a "Maid" class!

        Libra's note was very good and I myself may use those in my creation as well. What I also found helpful was to load the pre-made stats of the classes that are already in the game, sneak about them and take notes on how they are set up and what skills and spells they use and such. Then I would delete that and from my notes create my own stats for heros and classes. I hope this helps as well.
