    The Long Game Trick

I know this was probably discussed over 200 times, but I'm entirely new to the idea, and I couldn't find a topic for it. So, I was figuring:

Would I need to create 3 "games" (parts) in a single memory, each one for a section of the story? It sounds good, but what about the characters status and items? Can that be exported in some way to a 2nd, and furthermore, a 3rd part?

I'm starting to feel a bit bad, cause I'm only asking and asking...so sorry, if I can't help people yet - just ask for it. That's why I thank you all very much for your attention, and wish you a merry christmas!

It's an easy thread to find. Just search for "Multiple File Trick" under the "search" icon. Then click on Draygone's post. He goes into great detail about how to do it.
    Merry Christmas!

Would you consider an alternate game in which you have to find the alternate game in the main game to be able to play it?
2 games or one game with a minigame?

I think you are asking a different question than Gustavo Caper, the starter of this thread, had in mind. You might be better off making a new thread.

You can have optional mini-games in your main game, sure.

if you wanted to make a game span 2 files couldnt you make it so after the last fight of the first game you automattically go up to a certain lvl then on the second one you start out that lvl i know there would still be the case of what items you had when you ended the first game but still would that method work?

What if the player wound up surpassing the level you had in mind by the end of the first file?

oh....i really didnt put that into mind when i thought of this. well reffering to the question i posted in the experience table thread if you could set a lower lvl cap then that wouldnt be a problem or make monsters give you so much exp that you have to be lvl 99 by the end of the game anyway
