we havent even had the google ads up for 24 hours, and we're already at 21 dollars earned, out of the 80 we need (and the 100 needed for google to send payment). we can do this. I had my doubts, but yeah, we can definately do this.

It's funny how I'm always surprised just how dedicated the pavilion's members are. Whenever there's a problem facing the site, you guys come out in full force to help overcome it. I really appreciate your support, and I'll work my ass off to make sure I deserve it. and in cases like this, I'm downright amazed.

I've decided to keep the ads up after we renew the Vbulletin license, as a way of financing contests and give-aways, and depending on the amount earned each month, pay the pavilion's bandwidth bills as well. if we somehow keep up the 20 dollar a day average, then I can promise you we are going to have some really great contest prizes, like having contests where you can win game consoles and stuff like that. we'll be able to give out max drives and dex drives, and RPG Maker software. I was considering opening a pavilion store next year, but why chage for things we can just hand out for free? as long as you make the effort to click those ads every day, you WILL be rewarded.

the pavilion's future just got a lot brighter, and it's all because of you. thank you!

I don't want to sound dumb but what all do we need to do? Click on each one and go to a link on the page it brings up? Also we can only click on it once a day for it to work correct? But I can use the computers at work and home to double the affect?

click a link in the google ad thing, and then click on one of the sites it lists. let it load, and close it (or stay if you're genuinely interested). it only registers one click per day, per IP address.

Make sure poeple don't click more than 3-5 times a day, or google will do a fraud investigation and you will lose any money you earned, as Doan has said at the domain.

Wow, $21 already. Way to go. That's far beyond what I expected.

Huzzah!

there's not much I can do about that, other than keep asking they only do it once a day.

I just clicked one of the ads too. A long time before i had made my account on this site, back when i was a major noob at RPG Maker 1, I used to read this sites forums for inspiration on game ideas and for laughs too. Ahhh those good old RPG Maker1 days.

I'm sure if there's anyone who was at all annoyed by having the ads these ideas will make them feel differently.

uh... where are these ads? I thought maybe Firefox was blocking them or something, but they don't show up for me in IE either.

They are near the bottom left hand corner of the main page (at least for me).

These ads are almost impossible to see!
Keep em, for sure. Not nearly as much as a bother as I thought it would be (and I thought it would be easy anyway!).
As the contest's you suggested are prizes I would want, I just got the easiest paid job in the world! :)

I'm getting all my friends to click. With any luck, it will become the new trend at our school. :)

Valkysas

your school most likely only has one IP address.

so please dont do that.

if there are multiple clicks from one IP address in one day, we will likely lose all earned money, and be kicked out of the program for fraud.

hitogoroshi
12-21-2005, 10:12 PM
I know...that was a joke :) I'm not exactly a trend-setter.
Nah, I'm just pestering my friends on AIM (and warning them only to click once!)

I know, double post, but I was thinking:
If we pay off the site before Jan. 1st (which I pray we do) and we keep this up all next month, the Pav will have roughly 1,200 in money for contests, bandwidth and such!
Also, what's Mikochan's full name? I'm sure you've tried, but we may be able to track her down anyway and get that Pav fund.

Valkysas
12-21-2005, 10:45 PM
yup, the prize packages for the anything goes contest will be really great if we get that kind of money.

as for mikochan (real name is Umeko Keller), I've tried tracking her down. the problem is, she's not a legal US citizen so she's unlisted in pretty much everything.

Clicking two links is a small thing to pay in return for the fun that is the pavilion.

Thanks!

Whats our count, Valk? Do we have a chance at the permenant licence?

56 dollars. we hit 50 on the 21st at midnight.

then everyone got lazy, and we only made 4 dollars yesterday, and 2 so far today.

as for a shot at the license, no. not if this keeps up. we have to get 44 more in order for google to send the payment, and 3 dollars a day isnt going to get us there.

I'm clicking every day, but mostly because this topic is here as a reminder. I wonder if people know that they're supposed to click on more than one day. The whole deal of "don't click it more than once" might've confused some.

I will click when I'm here. I haven't had time to get into my RPG maker 3 game. Or even RPG maker in general. Though I lurk on the boards from time to time and want to help out. I've always had intrest in the game and if it takes me clicking a little add to help you guys out I'm in.
